IET Local Networks are managed by groups of volunteers. Networks organise events to raise awareness of science, engineering and technology in their local area and promote membership of the IET. All Network events are open to the public and most are free of charge.

If you are an IET member located in France, or have connections with France, you can subscribe to the branch mail server by sending a message to the French LN including your membership number. The French Network uses email for all Centre communications, with the exception of the AGM notice; in consequence, it is vital that Members keep their registration up to date when changing addresses. If you don't receive anything for more than a month (except in August) then send a mail to the French LN to check. It is unlikely that your details will have been erased, but problems can arise that mean that de-registration is the only option. This can happen when your mailbox overflows for example. 

IET French Network Statuts

As you may know, we have had to re-register ourselves in France due to the name change. After a long and difficult process, we have finally agreed the new Statuts which will be presented for adoption to an SGM to be held in September. The new Statuts are available for reading - see the link in the bottom right corner of the page.

Meet Other Members

The Institution of Civil Engineers, French Local Association, sponsors a monthly joint meeting of Engineering Institutions at Carrs bar and restaurant, 1 rue du Mont Thabor, Paris 1. (Metro Tuileries).The meetings take place on the third Thursday of the month at 19h00; a welcome drink is waiting for you. Partners and guests welcome.

SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING

A Special General Meeting will be held on 7th September to agree the name change of our Association 1901 to 

The Institution of Engineering and Technology – French Network. 

This meeting will be held before the Smart Grids lecture. Please read the July 2010 Newsletter for more details.
