    About this event

This talk is an updated version of our most popular event of last year. Rob spoke to us previously at Watford but due to its popularity we felt we should rerun the event at a different venue to enable a different audience hear the fascinating story of the Tornado, the first new main line steam locomotive to be built in Britain for almost 50 years.

Rob, the Electricals Director from The A1 Steam Locomotive Trust, will cover the epic story of how a conversation in a pub turned into a generation long struggle to build a steam locomotive from scratch, by asking members of the public to donate ‘the price of a pint’!

    Programme

    Tea/Coffee at 6:45pm for 7pm start

Light buffet at the end of the presentation
