New Humber Network Chairman
The IET Humber Network is very pleased to announce Dr Phil Rubini as the new chairman for the 2011/12 session.
Dr. Philip Anthony Rubini, BSc. Tech. (Hons.) , Ph.D. CEng, MInstP, MIET
Reader in Thermofluids
Department of Engineering, University of Hull
Philip Rubini is a senior academic in the Department of Engineering at the University of Hull with over 25 years of experience in the development and application of computational fluid dynamics to practical engineering problems across a broad range of topics. He leads the Thermofluids and Acoustics research group, with an interest in almost anything that involves energy and flow!
Philip arrived in the region some five years ago after having worked at Cranfield University and prior to that, Rolls Royce Plc, including a brief period in Canada as well. He has just completed a term as Head of Department during which time he has been very active promoting the IET through student membership and hosting evening seminar events at the University.
“I look forward to my time as Chairman of the Humber Network committee and hope that together we will be able to promote membership of the IET and interaction with members through relevant social and technical events and seminars”
