Associate

Associate membership is for individuals who have an interest in science, engineering and technology but who may not wish to pursue this as a career.

To join the IET as an associate member, you do not need to hold an engineering qualification. You may be working in a related field or simply have a passion for engineering and technology. Engineering and technology affects our daily lives which is why the IET welcomes the support, contribution and involvement of a wide range of people.

By joining as an associate member, you can access a range of membership advantages for an annual membership fee.

An associate may also transfer or upgrade their membership to the member category once they have acquired the sufficient skills or experience.
